Blu Livorno is the first Italian Biennale entirely dedicated to the relationship between humans, the sea, and water. Designed as a space for reflection, dialogue, and entertainment focused on coastal sustainability, it takes place along a 1.5 km stretch of Livorno’s seafront, transformed into a thematic village animated by scientific conferences, technological exhibitions, cultural events, performances, and activities for all ages.
The event is organized into six main areas: from debates on coastal erosion and renewable energy, to comedy shows at Terrazza Mascagni featuring the “Antani” Humor Festival, and guided tours exploring museums, shipyards, and historical water-related landmarks.
Visitors can also enjoy immersive experiences such as snorkeling, marine workshops for children, live concerts, exhibitions dedicated to Corto Maltese, water sports, and tastings curated by Slow Food. An electric train connects the various locations, making the experience accessible, engaging, and welcoming for both residents and tourists.
